Yusra Kureshi

I’m a current undergrad student at the University of Waterloo, wrapping up my last term in Honours Biochemistry (Co-op). I’m working on optimizing the delivery of antisense oligonucleotides via novel lipid nanoparticle vehicles for treating VCP-linked neurodegenerative diseases. I’m always in awe of how science can forever change lives and hope to one day be involved in developing gene therapies for debilitating human diseases. I spend almost all my free time crocheting (possibly have a yarn addiction), but enjoy the occasional 1000-piece puzzle, a good book or a night out with friends.
