Yasmeen Alshehabi

Yasmeen is a recent Biomedical Sciences graduate at the University of Waterloo. Yasmeen completed a successful Honours project in the NeurdyPhagy lab screening palmitoylation enzymes that may regulate protein turnover and aggregation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). As a graduate student Yasmeen is investigating how small molecules may restore palmitoylation in Huntington Disease and ALS.
